More pictures, less talk

Granite starts coming in tomorrow.  Carpeting on Jan 19/20/21.  Spent an hour on the phone with random bozos from Qwest today when they told me I couldn't get DSL service on the $1200 line I had trenched in.  They were wrong.  As far as other updates, here's the pictures:

More stone, woodwork, gutters, HVAC....and a week in bed

After getting through Christmas weekend unscathed, I proceeded to spend most of the following week stuck in bed....chills, aches, sweats....

So I didn't really get an opportunity to get out to the house for pictures until yesterday. Stonework is nearly complete. Woodwork (beams, mantles, etc) continues to be added. Gutters have been installed. Interior of garage is starting to get close to completion as the laundry sink and the garage door openers are now in place. More HVAC work has been done including some final duct work in the utility room, and placement of the forced-air unit. Air exchanger is also now in the utility room.

Coming up...final security system items on Monday. Electrician will be back continuing to do finishing work. Granite will start to go in Monday. Hardwood floor should be happening soon. Water softener Tuesday. And most important of all, tractor being delivered on Thursday! Just a little late for our near-record December snow accumulation.

Just a quick update before the Christmas weekend...one of the exterior "bump outs" now has completed stonework. Cabinet, electrical, tile, and trimwork continue to plug away on the interior.

Things moving fast now...

Lots of activity the last week of so. Electrician finishing work, tiling, trim, cabinets all going up. propane tank delivered, geo unit installed, and stonework going up. We're still running around frantically doing this-n-that...mostly getting all the items we need for the electrician (under cabinet lighting, speakers, doorbell, etc). Also found out that our water is super-hard and way high on the iron scale.  Had the Culligan guy out there and purchased ourselves a softener.  Got plenty of money laying around at this point, might as well spend some more!
